Los Angeles Times Headline on Ernie Kovacs' Death
As a 9 year old, I remember the day that Ernie died. The New York Daily News that my father purchased had the more grusome photo of Ernie's body hanging out from the vehicle.
And to think the car Ernie was driving at the time of his fatal crash was later named among the cars "Unsafe at Any Speed" by Ralph Nader in his book of the same name.
Almost 50 years and it stings as much as when I first learned of the accident.
